There was a fatal boating accident last week in Miami Beach on what’s called Monument Island, which anyone who’s been to Miami Beach before has seen.
It happened on a 90-foot charter boat named the Miami Vice which was being captained by a 20-year-old kid. One of his passengers either fell or jumped into the water, the captain wasn’t aware of it, he put the boat in reverse, the propellers hit the passenger, and he died at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Raul Menendez from Hialeah. The boat is back in service. I sure hope the captain is not.
